I need your help! It does not happen often, but sometimes a face in a painting just does not feel right. What to do? Oils and Acrylics offer the artist the option to simply cover it with a new layer of paint, that can then be the base layer for something else. What you see here on this page is what that looks like.
I am still developing this new painting, it is totally unfinished, with many details still lacking. But the question begs: should I just leave the face off and call this a headless hunter scene…? It is kind of intriguing now that I look at it… I was painting it during Halloween, that might have influenced me…. 🙂 What do you think? Paint the head or leave it like this…?
