This title is not referring to current chaos in the world, but to art. Art tries to bring some colour and serenity in a landscape that, here in Ontario, Canada, has reverted to monochromes after 50 centimeters of snow! It is the biggest load I have seen in a long time and the predicted temperatures for the coming days are getting close to the first few winters after we moved to Canada in 2014. I remember house hunting with day temps of minus 30! The predictions for tomorrow speak of minus 24…
But no more of that. As pretty as virgin snow is, I still prefer warmer weather. I know it will come, it always does, but the end of May still seems like very far away. So, I wanted to bring some colour to this day. I named this new work ‘The Mask’. There is no special meaning to it other than working with my favourite colours and of course including a pair of eyes. You can interpret it anyway you like. I was content with the results! Enjoy!
