I am gearing up for my next show. It is opening on Friday March 20, between 5pm and 9pm, in the Holiday Inn Express Hotel in St. Thomas (275 Highview Drive). I am excited about this opportunity, because it is the first time I am participating in a show organised by the St. Thomas Art Guild, that I recently joined. Some 50 artists are members of this group and it is really nice to be part of a show with so much artwork-variety!
I will have a mix of brand-new works and some existing pieces in the show, 12 in total. As an artist, I have been having fun taking my art into a different direction these past few months. I have discovered that I really do love bright colours and a lot of the works in the show will demonstrate that.
But there are also some pieces that were done last year and that some of you may already have seen at the Elgin County Studio Tour. If you want to meet me in person, let me know when you are planning to come to the Guild show and I will be delighted to see you there!
Below is one of the brand new pieces that will be in the show. It is titled ‘Fleeing the chaos’, which is a little wink on my part about this past year, that has been a chaos-fest!
