My paintings in Port Stanley…

July 18, 2025

Today I visited the lovely ‘Art & Soul’ café in Port Stanley, and it was a real pleasure to see my two paintings on the wall! During this summer these pieces will remain on show (and for sale!), as an intro to the Elgin County Studio Tour that is scheduled for the last weekend of September. Two guests of the café, who happened to sit at the table underneath my paintings, sweetly agreed to be in this picture. Thank you!

If you are interested in either of these painting, feel free to contact me via this website or via Facebook….

My paintings are in the good company of many other regional artists, most of whom are in the Studio Tour as well. I almost regret signing up for this event, because it means I will not be able to see the studios of my fellow artists!

The Elgin County Studio Tour is a relatively new regional initiative: this is only the second year it is being organised in this area. It is a totally new experience for me, and I am looking forward to it very much. Selected artists, many working from their own home, open their doors to the general public and this means seeing them in their ‘natural habitat’ so to speak. Some have professional studio spaces, others, like me, have a simple, small room where we paint. But the walls of our home will be decorated in our art pieces and they will all be for sale. I will have some special activities set up for both days, and if you choose to take part in them, you may win one of my art pieces! The Tour is set up as a self-guided event, making stops at the selected studios in St Thomas (where I am located), Aylmer, Union and Port Stanley. Many businesses all over the region display the brochure and posters with more details. I am looking forward to seeing you on either Saturday 27 September or Sunday 28 September! Doors are open from 10-5pm.
