Breaking news these days seems to be about one disaster after another. It can be hard to stay positive. Let me give you something to smile about today, just to balance things out a little bit.
I found myself doodling the other day, and the subject of my doodle was a fake piece of cheese with a figurine of a funny mouse sitting on it. Unfortunately, the mouse had a little accident when I cleaned house, fell off, and lost an ear. Oh no! So, to make sure I would not forget about this cute memento of a few years ago, I doodled an image of it. The next step was converting it into a painting. It looked nice and funny, with no respect for any perspective laws or realism. And then I imagined that it would add some nice suspense to the scene, if the mouse were noticed by a cat… so I continued to doodle with a big smile on my face. See the end result below. People who see it start to smile, which is exactly the effect I was going for. So I hope it will do that for you as well!
