Look at this artistic medical experiment!

March 4, 2026

Today in my studio, I decided to do a medical experiment. After a quick prayer for courage, I accessed my brain in search of the artistic lobe, held up my iPhone and made a picture of it. You see the result above. This is a real life image of where artistry resides in the human brain. There. Mystery solved. Isn’t it amazing? If you have my creative brain, you will even notice the shape of a sleeping person in the right part of the image and some other figures seemingly involved in complex yoga poses… And I did all of this without numbing my skull first!

Haha. Of course this is a joke. But it IS a picture I took in my studio today. I had to clean my cups of brushwater and when I tried to clean this one, I noticed what looked like brain tissue in the bottom. I immediately linked it to the fact that I had been cleaning a brush covered with pouring medium in that cup. But I left the water stand for a couple of days and then this happened. So you see, artists can make art happen without even getting involved or working with intention! It simply surrounds us and morphs into the most interesting shapes.

And as for the artistic part of the brain: I think it is all over my body, to be honest. It can be my eye noticing a little detail somewhere that fascinates me. Or a song I hear on the radio. A beautiful movie production. The lines in mature faces and the innocence in children’s features. If you have an open eye for all the beauty in this world, everything looks like a veritable miracle. And I for one think we need lots of miracles!

Have a wonderful day!
