Merry kitten Sipke painting ‘adopted’ at Ninth Life Cat Rescue High Tea event!

November 3, 2024

I am pleased to announce that my little merry Kitten painting found a new owner! It was sold during an enjoyable High Tea event organised by Ninth Life Cat Rescue Ontario in the charming Erindale Community Hall in Mississauga.

The cat is out of the bag! Or rather: the kitten is out of the bag and its new owner seems very happy with it!

I was honoured to be invited to show some of my artwork at this event, that was a fundraiser for this wonderful organisation, that has helped me with my own rescue cat Mitsy (click ‘Feline Frenzy’ right here or in the main menu of my website to read more about her and other cats in my life).

Due to 2 (involuntary) house moves in 2 years, I had not had the opportunity to meet with my audience and show new works, so I was delighted to participate in this fundraiser. I created a little corner for myself and was pleasantly surprised that many of the guests were interested in buying some of my smaller pieces of art.

My trip from the western part of the province into the GTA (General Toronto Area), started with a blazing red sunset that made the fall colours stand out as if they were on fire. I just had to stop for a moment and make a picture of this spectacle. The fall colours have not been strong this year, but when the rising sun casts its light on them, they look extremely colourful!
Here is the display of my works. An event with a really nice atmosphere!
