This little birdie was created this summer. It was a bit of an experiment and I like how the colours came out. It is painted on one of those small canvas boards and for the longest time I was musing about framing it. And then it came to me. I have some transparant plexiglass frames that I previously used to display photographs and posters. When I put the bird painting in it, it truly looked like it was ready to take off after completing the song! I added some feathers that I once found in my yard, way back when we lived in Pennsylvania. Looking at the colouring, I suspect they belonged to this bird… I feel it does the design justice. Of course, this is almost impossible to photograph because of the reflections of the light in the plexiglass. But I am sure you can look beyond that.
